Term 3 so far!
Primary 2B have had a really energetic start to the term as they have been working with a P.E teacher from Renfrew High School. Mr Haldane has been focusing on Gymnastics and has been very impressed with our skills in balancing, rolling and using these on the floor and equipment.
The boys and girls have been trying all different kinds of shapes in their balances, including tall, round and spikey! They have also been perfecting their forward, backward, teddy bear and pencil rolls. Using these skills with the box equipment has been challenging, but great fun!
After finding dinosaur footprints in the classroom, Primary 2B have been learning many different facts about dinosaurs, including the difference between herbivores and carnivores. They have also loved creating art work to help transform the class into a wonderful Dinosaur Land, using skills such as, collage, printing, ripping and smudging!
A big congratulations to Harris, Harrison and Star for winning the Burns competition. They did a fantastic recital of The Crocodile by JK Annand. The children have also enjoyed learning some scottish dances in P.E and listening to stories told in Scots' language.
The children have also enjoyed hearing about all different kids of jobs during World of Work Week. They got to learn about some very interesting jobs and asked some fanastic questions. Jobs that they heard about included, police officer, personal trainer and a dance teacher.
